Details:

I have some overflow work that needs covering now and then, and I would be willing to take on another newbie MT to help cover these files.    I dont require experience, but I do require a good, recent MT-specific education.   I pay a low line rate but give feedback and corrections so you will get a lot of on-the-job training, and you will be able to use this experience on your resume, as well as list me as a reference.  This is an at-home, IC position and you will be responsible for proper tax filing.  If workflow allows, it could be more like part-time rather than PRN.  Your hours will be flexible, and set by you, but I will generally need someone who is available at least 8-10 hours a week, mostly weekdays; workflow is heaviest on Wednesday through Friday mornings and early afternoon so I would need you to be available at least two of those days.    Specialties include gastroenterology, physical medicine and orthopedics.  Notes are typically intakes and followups, review of medical records, generally lots of narrative.   If you value flexibility in your schedule this might be a great match for you.

How to apply:

If this sounds like something you are interested in, please send me a brief email at [email protected]
outlining your skills and resources (as outlined in "requirements"), MT education, any MT work experience you may have, and your availability in Pacific Standard Time.  Please do not say "I am available any time"; give details.

Please do NOT send attachments in your email. Please DO send a resume with information relevant to this position only.

Please put "MT PRN OPENING" in the SUBJECT of your email.

I will selecting a handful of applicants to do some testing in the next couple of weeks.  Deadline for applicants is January 5.

I am a stickler for following directions, so any inquiries that do not follow the directions for application or testing will be thrown out.
